Russell Brand is speaking again, and this time he’s joining the ranks of Michael Moore and Seth Rogen and criticizing “American Sniper” and Chris Kyle, claiming people who go watch the film are living “vicariously” through the late sharpshooter.

“One can’t help but think that what’s really being celebrated right here, is the ability to say things  — to support statements, like Chris Kyle’s statement ‘I  hate those damn savages. I couldn’t give a flying fuck about Iraqis’,” Brand said.

In a new video on his YouTube channel, Brand said that Americans embrace heroes like Chris Kyle because they’re frightened and motivated by fear. Brand said he believes that the strong support the Clint Eastwood-directed film and Kyle have received are indicative that criticism of guns could cease altogether. The best part? Brand admitted he hasn’t even seen the film yet.

We’ll just sit back and wait for Tommy Brann to ban Brand from his steakhouse, too. (RELATED: Seth Rogen and Michael Moore BANNED From Steakhouse Because Of ‘American Sniper’ Criticism)

The conversation turns to “American Sniper” around 2:15.
