HOST CHUCK TODD: Governor Mitt Romney deciding not to run for president. Did he make the right decision?

RYAN: Well it’s the right decision for Mitt and Ann based upon what they decided was ultimately the best thing to do for the country.

TODD: Do you personally think that?

RYAN: Well yeah. It’s bittersweet to me. I was going to support Mitt no matter what they decided to do…

TODD: You would have endorsed him for president?

RYAN: Oh, sure. It’s no secret I think Mitt Romney would have been a fantastic president. It is bittersweet to me in that sense. It is the perfect style Mitt Romney decision: country first. He did what he thought was right for the country. The way he decided this and the statement he made reflects that. And it’s a class act.
