Jim Carrey made things really awkward on live television for NBC’s Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie Sunday night on the red carpet for the “Saturday Night Live 40” special, and even Tina Fey had to blush.
“Where are you hiding Brian Williams?” Carrey asked the two NBC hosts.
“I just want to say something in his defense,” Carrey continued. “If the helicopter in front of me gets hit, I’m taking the story.”
Williams, who is the only news anchor to have hosted “SNL,” is currently suspended for fabricating stories.
