President Obama Cleared Of Campus Rape Charge, Reports San Diego TV News [VIDEO]

On Friday night, at exactly 10:04 p.m. local time, San Diego Fox affiliate KSWB’s primetime news anchor Kathleen Bade said: “The only suspect in a sex assault at SDSU will not be charged.”

At exactly the same time, an image of President Obama appeared on the right side of the screen. Under Obama’s photo were the words “NO CHARGES.”

The Obama image appeared on screen for about five full seconds. However, producers noticed it much sooner, the Times of San Diego reports.

“Yeah, there was an accident when they had an over-the-shoulder,” assignment editor Mike Wille told the popular local website in newscaster lingo. “It wasn’t on purpose.”

The actual would-be defendant in the rape case is Francisco Sousa. The local district attorney decided not to press charges against Sousa, 20, citing a lack of evidence.

Bade, the anchor, doesn’t appear fazed by the glitch. Or, if she was, she definitely stayed classy.

The hour-long, Friday the 13th KSWB news show then recovered from its early doom and continued for the next 56 minutes without any additional hitches of note.
