Vanilla Ice, whose God-given name is Robert Van Winkle, was arrested on burglary and grand theft charges in Florida Thursday, police say.
The “Ice, Ice Baby” singer stole furniture, a pool heater, bikes and other items from the vacant Lantana home in between December and February, while the home was under foreclosure.
Van Winkle was reportedly renovating the home for his show, “The Vanilla Ice Project,” on the DIY Network, but when the owner realized items were missing he called the police, who issued a search warrant and found them at Van Winkle’s home, ABC News reports.
The singer-turned-handyman met with detectives at the Lantana Police Department Thursday and was then booked and taken into custody.
