The Washington Wizards and the Detroit Pistons met at the Palace of Auburn Hills on Sunday afternoon. In the third quarter, Wizards center Marcin Gortat — dubbed the ‘Polish Hammer’ — found a lane and attempted to throw down an emphatic dunk. He was met at the rim by Pistons center Andre Drummond, who rejected him harder than Harvard rejects sub-4.0 students.
Aside from being completely disrespected by Drummond, the Polish Hammer put together a pretty good game scoring 24 points and hauling in 10 rebounds. The Pistons had the last laugh though, as they dished the skidding Wizards their third straight loss, 106-89.
