A new poll from Public Policy Polling finds that Republican Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker is leading the 2016 Republican presidential field nationwide with his highest level of support to date. (VIDEO: Scott Walker: Hillary Clinton ‘Embodies All The Things We Think Of Washington’)

According to the new poll, Walker leads the pack with 25 percent. The next closest contender is famed neurosurgeon Ben Carson with 18 percent, followed by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush with 17 percent and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee with 10 percent. No other candidate earns more than 5 percent of responses.

PPP is a Democratic-affiliated polling firm, but its findings are similarly to a recent Bloomberg poll showing Walker ahead in Iowa and a Gravis Marketing poll finding him leading in New Hampshire. No other candidate to date has ever cracked 25 percent since RealClearPolitics started tracking 2016 polling back in 2011.

PPP surveyed 316 Republican primary voters from Feb. 20 to Feb. 22. The poll’s margin of error was plus or minus 5.5 percent.
