DC Posters Call FCC Chairman ‘Boot Licker,’ ‘Obama’s B*tch’ Ahead Of Internet Regulation Vote

WASHINGTON — Individuals armed with wall paper paste and large poster-size images critical of Federal Communications Commission  Chairman Tom Wheeler papered Washington D.C. early Wednesday morning.

Each black-and-white poster of Wheeler, who they refer to as a “boot licker” and “Obama’s Bitch” in the image, is composed of nine separate pieces that were assembled immediately prior to posting.

Why was Wheeler’s face chosen for this particular image? The individuals posting the images, told The Daily Caller they became involved in such activism to help “move the needle” and wanted to “make [Wheeler] somebody people know, because nobody knows who he is unless you’re a wonk.”

The images were pasted to electrical boxes  near the Washington Monument, Union Station, Capitol Hill, Georgetown, and a tunnel near FCC headquarters.

In addition to the posters, black bumper stickers reading “Wheeler Don’t Brake The Internet” have been affixed to stop signs in a Georgetown neighborhood.

The process of going from a vehicle to a site to post the image takes no more than five minutes, according to the fast-moving protesters.

“We try to make the photographs from a story standpoint,” one of the Wheeler protesters told TheDC when asked about how the locations were chosen.

Wheeler has been criticized for supporting President Barack Obama’s net neutrality plan which will authorize the FCC to regulate the internet as a public utility.

The vote is scheduled for Thursday. Democrats who hold three seats on the commission. Republicans hold two.
