Republican former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee slammed President Barack Obama’s response to ISIS on “Fox and Friends,” saying the president was “living in a different reality” if he thought the U.S. was beating ISIS. (RELATED: Mike Huckabee Slams Politico For Inventing Sexist Anti-Fox News Quote)

HUCKABEE: If your a Christian or a Jew, you’re a target. Granted, these uncivilized savages of ISIS have killed a lot of Muslims as well, but they’re killing them in the name of radical Islam. And no matter what the president says, they are not motivated because this is from the Boy Scout handbook. They’re motivated because they believe that under their version of the Koran, they’re supposed to kill anyone that does not convert to their brand of Islam.

And the president is going to have to understand where this is coming from. This is not random violence, this is not workplace violence. It’s religious hate and it’s religious ethnic cleansing to get rid of everyone who doesn’t agree with them.

It’s very Islamic. In fact, the name “Islamic State,” where does it come from? It comes from their adherence to the belief that they’re right, everybody else is wrong, and because they’re wrong they should all be murdered. This is an insidious threat.

When the president says we’re getting on the upper side of it, that we’re winning, I don’t know what map he’s looking at. I don’t know who he’s talking to in the Middle East. But he’s living in a different reality if he thinks that somehow ISIS is going away.
