Former University of Louisville basketball starting point guard Chris Jones was charged with raping and sodomizing two women in relation to an incident that occurred on Sunday.

Jones — who surrendered himself peacefully on Thursday and pleaded guilty to the charges — had been suspended from all team activities earlier in the season but returned to the court over the weekend to the Cardinals defeat Miami.

USA Today reports, however, that Louisville head coach Rick Pitino kicked Jones off the team for an undisclosed reason, simply stating that the former star was “finished.”

Instead of setting bail, Judge Shelia Collins released Jones on home incarceration and told him that if he contacted either of the victims, she “will personally send police after [him].”

Jones and two other defendants in the case are set to reappear in court on March 9.
