Conservative. Conservative. Conservative.

Did you know Jeb Bush is a conservative?

That’s the message the former Florida governor, preparing to run for president as a Republican in 2016, makes in a new video released Friday, likely targeted at GOP primary voters who may be suspicious of some of his political views.

The video, simply titled “Conservative,” is made up of clips from his speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference outside Washington, D.C. last week. It includes a news article that referred to him as “the best conservative governor in America.”

It comes as some Republicans are expressing skepticism about Bush’s brand of conservatism, particularly on immigration and Common Core. On Friday, the Des Moines Register in Iowa published a front page article exploring that skepticism, titled “Jeb Bush: Barely a Republican, or ‘conservative hero’?”

The video includes clips, of Bush calling for protecting the border, while arguing for a “path to legal status” for illegal immigrants. On Common Core, the video shows Bush supporting the program though saying “the federal government has no role in the creation of standards.”
