After the engine failed on Harrison Ford’s vintage two-seater plane last Thursday, he remains in the hospital, but in stable condition and “on the mend,” according to his son Ben.

Harrison crash-landed the plane near the eighth hole of a Venice golf course and suffered a head injury. He was treated by two doctors who were at the Penmar Golf Course until emergency services arrived and carried the bloodied actor away on a gurney.

Ford’s publicist Ina Treciokas said that he was “banged up” but only had injuries that were “not life threatening.” News reports say he broke his ankle and pelvis, and Treciokas hasn’t given any updates since.

His son Ben tweeted that Ford was “on the mend and of strong mind body & spirit,” but later deleted the tweet.

This isn’t the 72-year-old’s first plane crash, either. He walked away after wrecking a helicopter in Ventura County back in 1999. (RELATED: Harrison Ford ‘Battered, But OK’)
