Starting in early April Apple users will get first access to HBO Now — a streaming service for all HBO programming for $14.99 a month.
“All you need to get HBO Now is a broadband connection and an Apple device,” CEO of HBO Richard Plepler told the crowd at Apple’s “Spring Forward” event Monday.
Users choosing to sign up in April will get the first month of the service for free — just in time for the new season of “Game of Thrones,” for which Plepler revealed an exclusive trailer.
Apple also announced a new price for Apple TV units of $69, down from the original $99.
The service will be available on iPads, iPhones and Apple TV according to Apple.
