In what is only the latest poll showing a lack of support for New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, 57 percent of likely Republican primary voters said they can’t see themselves voting for him in 2016.

The only potential Republican presidential candidate in The Wall Street Journal/NBC poll who fared worse is Donald Trump, whom a whopping 74 percent of GOP primary voters said they can’t see themselves supporting.

Christie fared only slightly better in terms of support, beating out Trump, Lindsay Graham and Carly Fiorina, with just 32 percent of likely voters saying they could see themselves voting for him.

The poll, based on nationwide phone interviews with 1,000 adults from March 1 to March 5, is the latest showing dwindling support for Christie nationally and in New Jersey.

His approval rating in New Jersey hit its lowest point ever in March, with just 35 percent of voters saying they approve of the job he’s doing as governor, and 51 percent saying they disapprove. Voters cited his attitude, presidential ambitions and “Bridgegate” as reason for their disapproval in an earlier February poll.

A February Rutgers-Eagleton poll found 58 percent of New Jersey voters said they would vote for Hillary Clinton in 2016, compared to just 35 percent for Christie. (RELATED: Democratic Super PAC Goes After Chris Christie: ‘We Want To Kill Him Dead’)

He’s also not faring well in Republican primary polls. In a survey of likely voters in South Carolina and Florida — important primary states — Gravis Marketing found Christie behind unlikely nominees Mike Huckabee and Graham in South Carolina, and behind Ben Carson in Florida.

Christie defended himself at the Conservative Political Action Conference in February, slamming the “liberal media” and insisting he has plenty of time to change the voters minds. (RELATED: Christie Slams NYT: ‘I Don’t Care What They Write About Me’)
