Moral of the story: Sometimes you should stick with your intuition. WaPo columnist and MSNBC contributor Jonathan Capehart learned this the hard way Tuesday morning. And it’s why you won’t see him on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” this afternoon. He was scheduled for a 12:25 p.m. TV hit.
Never happened. And here’s why.
A few minutes later, he’s still sure of his mistake.
Then the ordinarily polite newsman gave Amtrak a piece of his mind.
Watch out, Amtrak. Capehart isn’t the only journalist who is irritated with your shoddy services.
Robbyn McFadden, who works for CBS News Sunday Morning, commiserated with Capehart.
“I took @amtrak on Friday & my 3 hour ride took 8 hours,” she wrote. “It was horrible & there was no explanation. Good luck!”
