Update: The Miami Beach Police Department wrote on Twitter that the incident was a “swatting call” and appears to have [been] a hoax. There were no victims, injuries, or persons at the residence.
Shots were fired at rapper Lil Wayne’s Miami beach home Wednesday afternoon, a local news station in Miami is reporting.
WSVN said that gunfire broke out and four people were injured, and Miami Beach Police have set up a perimeter around the home, but have not entered the house yet.
Someone inside the home called 911 and reported the shooting, and also said they “intended to start a firefight with officers.”
The 32-year-old rapper was not at home, TMZ reports, but is in Miami.
