Council of American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) executive director Nihad Awad denounced Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s last-minute appeal warning supporters about Israeli Arabs being bused to the polls, accusing him of “racist fearmongering.” (VIDEO: MSNBC Guest: GOP Supports Israel Because They’re ‘Xenophobic, Nativist,’ And ‘Racist’)

“Can you imagine if an American president is trying to be reelected, and cautioning against another minority that’s going to the polls to decrease his possibility to win the re-election?” he said on MSNBC’s “NewsNation w/Tamron Hall.” “This is racist fearmongering.”

Awad was also not swayed by Netanyahu’s explanation that he did not actually say he opposed the two-state solution. “I think he is back-pedaling in a way that’s maybe going to be ineffective,” Awad concluded. “Arab Palestinian voters have felt the pinch of racism that’s practiced by the most influential person in Israel.”
