She is one of the most famous names in modeling now, but before her days as one of eight Victoria’s Secret Angels, Lily Aldridge confessed that she was never asked out in high school—and didn’t even go to her senior prom.
“I know it’s an age-old story that no one believes, but no one asked me out in high school!” Aldridge said in an interview with Maxim about the public school she attended in Los Angeles.
“I don’t know how I ended up where I am.”
“I was so painfully shy as a child.”

But even now, as the face of one of the biggest lingerie and swimsuit brands, Aldridge still doesn’t see herself as a sex symbol.
“I don’t think of myself as an object of lust. I can’t even say that with a straight face.
“But I’m more flattered when someone thinks I’m funny.”
