Opponents of Dallas’ new bag tax, which allows stores to charge shoppers a nickel per bag, released a video this week where Dallas residents hold nothing back.

“I think it’s not a good idea,” says one man. “If you really want my true opinion I think it sucks.”

Bag The Ban is the group behind the video, which features interviews of Dallas residents outside grocery stores. They are all none too happy about the ordinance, which began earlier this year.

“I don’t know who’s getting all the nickels from each one of these bags but somebody is making a lot of money off of each bag for a nickel,” one woman says.

The video is part of a larger movement protesting the tax.

The group’s site says the ordinance hurts business and is misguided since the plastic bags are 100% recyclable and reused by 90% of consumers.

Either way, the video says it all.
