I don’t know if this guy is ever going to be president, but I like how he doesn’t let our moral, ethical, and intellectual betters in the media get away with their usual tricks.

“Before we go through a litany of things you say I’ve changed on, why don’t you ask me a question?… You’ve editorialized. Let me answer a question. You ask a question and you say, ‘Have your views changed?’ Instead of editorializing and saying my views have changed.”
Ooof. Rude and condescending, but also true. She tried to ambush him, and he didn’t let her. He rejected the premise. Then she spent the rest of the interview grinding her teeth down to the nubs. Kinda fun to watch.
He needs to be careful about this stuff, though. Sure, Savannah Guthrie is never going to vote for him, but some of her viewers might. This is gold to those of us who pay attention to how the media works — and therefore despise it — but stupid people will only see a smug jerk being rude to a pretty lady.*
And now, of course, the left will explode with fury if they haven’t already. He’s a misogynist, how dare this misogynist, string up the misogynist, etc. Works for me. Liberals and the media (PTR) aren’t going to suddenly respect Republicans for going along with their usual horsecrap, but at least one of them isn’t afraid to point out the smell.
*Yeah, it was that, but it wasn’t just that.
