On her first day on the campaign trail, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton made news Tuesday by saying we need to “get unaccountable money out of it once and for all, even if that takes a constitutional amendment.”

Meanwhile, top Clinton lieutenants were spotted the same day at the Four Seasons in San Francisco meeting with wealthy liberal contributors at the Democracy Alliance’s 2015 donor conference.

America Rising, the Republican opposition outfit, has posted videos online of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta and top outside ally David Brock at the donor conference this week.

The Washington Post recently reported that Democracy Alliance is made up of “a cadre of wealthy liberal donors” who aim “to pour tens of millions of dollars into rebuilding the left’s political might in the states.”

While the group plans to pour money into political causes across the country, its members are opposed to “big moneyed interests contorting our political system,” as journalist Ken Vogel reported this week.
