NEW YORK, N.Y. — Republican presidential contenders, following a weekend in New Hampshire, will be making their case for cash to Manhattanites.

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio was in the city earlier last week attending several fundraisers, AM New York. According to AMNY, New York hedge fund manager Paul Singer is among Rubio’s “early top money men.”

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul stopped by the Big Apple on Sunday afternoon and gave remarks at mid-town’s Union League Club. He spoke to attendees about the bitcoin currency he is accepting as donations. One eyewitness tells The Daily Caller Paul took no questions.

However, some gave donations to Paul’s campaign via bitcoin. It is currently unknown how much the Paul camp has raised through this currency, but according to campaign spokesman Sergio Gor, numbers will be released soon.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker will also be at the Union League Club on Monday. The ULC is hosting a lunch where Walker will be available for a meet and greet.

Additionally, Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush will be meeting members of the Manhattan Republican Club at the Metropolitan Republican Club on the Upper East Side. The invite notes the gathering is not a fundraiser.

Political support around the delegate-rich state is also key. According to The Buffalo News, some campaigns and potential candidates are seeking support of the New York State GOP county chairmen and other activists.
