Where Will Tommy Christopher Squat Today?

Squatters sometimes luck out in the White House briefing room. In other words, if you snooze, you could lose your seat to the likes of The Daily Banter‘s White House correspondent Tommy Christopher, who recently starred in the documentary film “Nerd Prom” by ex-Politico reporter Patrick Gavin.

In the film, Christopher plays a down and out White House correspondent who wears a large white sign around his neck asking White House Correspondents’ Dinner guests to come meet him — few did, although lefty radio host Bill Press swears he approached him.

At Monday’s briefing, Christopher can be seen in his signature top hat inhaling a soda from the seat normally occupied by the RealClearPolitics White House correspondent Alexis Simendinger. Fortunately for Christopher, Simendinger is sitting in American Urban Radio‘s April Ryan‘s seat today.

UPDATE: April Ryan arrived to today’s briefing late. She asked a question but it was off camera, meaning that she was standing off to the side. By squatting in Simendinger’s seat, Christopher caused a cascading domino effect. If he wasn’t squatting in her seat, there would be no need for her to take April’s seat. When April showed up, she would have had her seat. Point is, now every White House correspondent with an assigned seat has to watch out for Tommy squatting in their seat between call time and the start of briefing.
