Fox Sports’ NASCAR broadcaster Steve Byrnes has lost his battle with cancer.
Byrnes had been diagnosed with head and neck cancer back in 2013 and was forced to step down from broadcasting last year. He passed away at his home in Fort Mill, South Carolina on Tuesday at the age of 56.
NASCAR released this touching tribute to Byrnes’ 30 years in broadcasting prior to the running of Cup’s Food City 500 this past weekend.
