New Hampshire Gov. Maggie Hassan refused to endorse Hillary Clinton for the 2016 Democratic nomination during a press gaggle Wednesday.

The Democratic governor told reporters she will not be making a decision regarding 2016 until after the budget in the state is over with.

“I know you weren’t able to meet with Secretary Clinton when she was in town over the past few days,” the reporter told Hassan, asking if the two spoke over the phone and if there was any news to report from it.

“I think it’s very exciting that she’s running. I think she’s highly qualified to be president of the United States. I enjoyed a brief conversation with her yesterday, just welcoming her back to the state and touching base,” Hassan said. “I look forward to a very vibrant New Hampshire primary season.”

“Ok, so you’re not willing to say that you’re — you would endorse her yet?” the reporter asked.

“I’m not making any decisions about 2016 until after the budget is done,” Hassan responded.
