An envelope containing white powder was sent to the Capitol Hill office of Pennsylvania Rep. Mike Doyle, according to reports on social media.

A reporter for The Hill newspaper tweeted that Doyle, a Democrat, had evacuated from his Cannon House Office building office.

“They opened up an envelope and there was white powder in it,” the lawmaker told reporters.
