The Albuquerque Police Department is actively pursuing Jon ‘Bones’ Jones in relation to a hit and run accident involving a 20-year-old pregnant woman on Sunday.
Jones, the UFC’s light-heavyweight champion, was seen fleeing from the scene of the accident by an off-duty officer, and APD found documents with his name after a simple search of the abandoned vehicle.
Social media exploded on Sunday night with rumors of drugs being involved in the accident, but APD has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors.
Jones went to rehab back in January after testing positive for cocaine prior to defending his belt against Daniel Cormier at UFC 182.
UPDATE (4/27/15 12:09 pm EST): Albuquerque PD announced they found marijuana and a marijuana pipe in Jones’ abandoned Buick.
