There’s good news and there’s bad news.

Let’s go with the bad first. As reported by Washington Post‘s “The Reliable Source” gossip column, party mob boss Tammy Haddad, the woman who can nix you from her guest list in a heartbeat if she feels like it, and her husband, World Bank attorney Ted Greenberg, are headed for splitsville.

You can bet the item was carefully worded and placed in WaPo. The sourcing is a “friend” of Haddad’s. “The Reliable Source” said it was tipped off when Greenberg failed to appear on Haddad’s famous Garden Brunch party invitation this year (if there’s any sadder way to find out than that, I’m not sure what is).

Even Politico‘s Mike Allen dubbed it “Sad News.” In black bold.  Of course, it’s This Town, so he had to call them a “power couple.”

Considering the couple married in 1991 and have two children, it is sad news.

But in life, there are always blessings amid the tragedies.

Sources tell The Mirror that Greenberg has had a terrible form of cancer and that he spent months in the hospital recovering.

The good news?

He’s on the mend.
