“Most dads don’t want to do paid paternity leave. Let’s be honest,” Morgan said.
“Ooooh!” she responded.
“They don’t! They pretend they do but after two weeks of a tiny little baby–I love my children to pieces. But when they’re this size and all they’re doing is eating, guzzling and depositing, it isn’t the most exciting gig in town.”
Right about then, Mika began her retreat. “That’s not cynical, that is the truth,” co-host Joe Scarborough said. “Mika’s pulling away here.”
“My admiration for women is– but for men, that is the real deal,” Morgan agreed, before adding, “Mika, come back here!”
The discussion continued without her. “I actually had a guy work for me in another city,” Scarborough said. “He just had a baby, and the baby was five or six days and he’s like, ‘I’m coming back on Monday.’”

Eventually, Brzezinski reappeared before the commercial break to tease the next segment “We’re coming up next, [“Scandal” star] Bellamy Young here… Piers, you’re gone. Bye-Bye.”
