School officials sent home a disquieting letter to parents on Tuesday: Lindsay Lohan is coming.

Instead of a heads up about a flu or strep outbreak, Duffield Children’s Center in Brooklyn let parents know their child might soon be exposed to a celebrity with quite the criminal record, seeing as Lohan has chosen to complete her community service in the classroom.

“Ms. Lohan has asked to return to complete her community service and may be placed in a classroom with your child,” the letter read. (RELATED: You Won’t Believe What Lindsay Lohan Thought Counted As Community Service)

“As with any volunteer, this would be under constant supervision from the classroom teacher and Duffield staff. Please know that all requirements for this volunteer work will be met, prior to her entering the classroom.”

“Furthermore, volunteers are never left alone with the children.”

But Lohan has already missed her first day of class. (RELATED: Lindsay Lohan Thought She Was Saying ‘You’re Beautiful’ In Arabic. What She Actually Said Is Hilarious.)

The redhead implied she was in New York over the weekend, and even said she was “ready to help,” but she didn’t arrive in New York until Tuesday, holding cash, cigarettes and her phone.

According to the New York Daily News, her absence left school administrators “fumbling” for a reason the actress didn’t show up on the first day.

That means Lohan has from now until May 28 to finish 115 hours of community service. She is expected to start Wednesday. (PHOTOS: Who Thought It Was A Good Idea To Let Lindsay Lohan Do Community Service At A Preschool?)
