Never let it be said that Howard Dean, most recently spotted scuttling away in panic from a Daily Caller reporter, is entirely without a sense of humor about himself.
It’s probably unfair that history will remember him only for one moment of frenzied, red-faced shrieking, but that’s life. Might as well have some fun with it!

For the last decade, former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean has been the butt of jokes about the “Dean Scream.”
On Thursday night, Dean turned the joke on Gov. Chris Christie and his presidential hopes.
“I’m going to say this to Chris Christie,” Dean told about 200 Democrats in a Harrah’s ballroom. “You can’t win in Nevada, and you’re not going to win in South Carolina, and you’re not going to win in New Hampshire, and you’re not going to win anywhere else, and you’re going to be right back here in the state of New Jersey, and you’re going to be out of a job!”
And then came the scream: “YEAH!!!”
If anybody captured this magic moment on video, please let me know. I can’t argue with his assessment of Christie’s electoral hopes — if anybody knows about losing, it’s Howard Dean — but I sure would love to hear him screech like a lunatic again. Everybody wants to hear the hits.
