Rick Perry and Rick Santorum are both preparing to announce their expected campaigns for president in 2016.

Both Republicans unsuccessfully ran for president in 2012 and have been getting ready in recent months to mount a White House campaign again.

On Friday, Perry’s wife, Anita, tweeted that they “have been discussing the future of this great country and how our family can play a role.” The tweet included a link for supporters to get tickets for a June 4 event in Dallas with the former Texas governor.

On Thursday, Santorum, the former Pennsylvania senator who won the Iowa caucuses in 2012, said that he would make a “major announcement near his boyhood home” in Butler County, PA on May 27.

Six prominent Republicans have already entered the race: Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina and Mike Huckabee. Others, including Jeb Bush, Scott Walker and Chris Christie, are expected to make announcements regarding the race sometime this summer.
