Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush took issue with the Clinton Foundation on “Face The Nation” host Bob Schieffer’s last show Sunday, telling Schieffer “the rules don’t always apply” to Bill and Hillary Clinton.

BOB SCHIEFFER: Do you think it is alright for foreign governments to contribute millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation when she was secretary of state and now that she’s running for president?

JEB BUSH: No, I don’t. At least, at a minimum, it should be fully disclosed, which was the agreement I thought she had between the government and the Clinton Foundation. It turns out the rules don’t always apply consistently to the Clintons. Just clear transparency… The reason why the transparency was suggested by the Obama administration was to avoid the exact problem we now face, which is the implication of favoritism.

SCHIEFFER Well her camp would come back and say “Look, there’s no suggestion even of any quid pro quo.” Do you take them at their word?

BUSH: Well there’s the implication of it, for sure… They signed a deal with the administration. “I’ll come into the Department of State, and I will make sure my spouse will report any dealings he has with other countries and so will the foundation.” The net result was they did some, but they didn’t do them all and now you have this doubt. It’s inappropriate.
