A woman from just outside the District of Columbia, in Suitland, M.D., died Saturday after getting silicon butt implants at an apartment in Queens, N.Y.

Police said Kelly Mayhew, 34, and her mother drove to the Queens home Saturday afternoon to meet with a woman who would perform the surgery, DNAinfo reported.

The woman started the procedure to insert the silicon enhancements, but things quickly went south when Mayhew became unresponsive and started to have trouble breathing.

Mayhew was already fairly well endowed. Mayhew was already fairly well endowed.

Mayhew’s mother began to perform CPR on her and pleaded with the unidentified woman to call 911, but instead of helping, the woman fled the home in a gray SUV, sources told the New York Daily News.

Her mother then called 911, but by the time cops arrived, it was too late. Paramedics were already on the scene performing CPR when the police got there, and Mayhew was pronounced dead when she arrived at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital.

Police are now searching for the unidentified would-be surgeon and it is unclear if they have been able to locate the friend who set up the fateful surgery.

Deaths from the dangerous and illegal back-room butt enhancement surgeries have been reported in states across the country, from Florida to Nevada, and don’t appear to be slowing down.

The man involved in the Florida case, Oneal Ron Morris, could face up to 100 years in prison if he is convicted of manslaughter. He is accused of killing Shatarka Nuby after she passed away due to complications from a similar butt enhancement procedure.

In a 2011 Nevada case a couple who performed an illegal butt enhancement surgery that led to the death of Elena Caro received just four and eight years, after pleading guilty to a lesser charge of involuntary manslaughter.

Instead of calling 911 to help Caro, Ruben Dario Matallana-Galvas, 56, and Carmen Olfidia Torres-Sanchez, 47, attempted to flee the country after the botched operation. They were apprehended while attempting to change their previously purchased tickets.
