The secret’s out. Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell have teamed up to film a surprise movie that will be released on Lifetime later this month. The announcement comes after a billboard advertisement was secretly placed on Hollywood Boulevard on Tuesday evening.

The movie, entitled “A Deadly Adoption,” surrounds a couple who move in with a pregnant woman in the hopes of taking care of her child. The comedy is aimed to poke fun at the quintessential Lifetime original movie as the network prepares to celebrate its 25th anniversary, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Ferrell and Wiig had both planned to keep the project a secret to surprise fans across the country. When news of the film was leaked to the press in April, both actors opted to cancel the project in its entirety.

In an official statement made to Entertainment Weekly, Ferrel writes “we are deeply disappointed that our planned top secret project was made public.”

“Kristen and I have decided it is in the best interest for everyone to forego the project entirely, and we thank Lifetime and all the people who were ready to help us make this film.”

Despite Ferrell’s statement, Lifetime has decided to air the movie on television later this month. Fans expressed their excitement for the project on Twitter.

Directed by Rachel Lee Goldenberg, the two-hour movie is scheduled to be released at 8:30 p.m. on June 20 on Lifetime.
