Two California mothers have issued complaints about a teacher who assigned a bizarre extra-credit exercise to students at Encinal High School in Almeda.

A male teacher asked his students to rummage through their parents’ drawers in search of condoms and other sex toys with the goal of taking selfies with them as extra credit for a geometry class, reports CBS San Francisco.

After learning about the incident from a counselor at an after-school program that their sophomore daughters attend, Kimberly Cobene and Evangeline Garcia are attempting to get the teacher fired, claiming that the “x-rated extra credit” is inappropriate and made students uncomfortable.

While school officials claim that the assignment may have been a joke, parents remain skeptical, asserting that one student actually completed the assignment and brought in his picture to be used as an example for the rest of the class.

For now, the teacher remains employed by the school and the administration have no answers.

“If the school and the district doesn’t protect them, I will. I will,” Cobene said after expressing that she and other parents are uncomfortable with their children in the teacher’s presence.

The teacher is currently under investigation.
