Liberal commentator and alleged comedian Rosie O’Donnell reportedly pulled out of a planned adoption due to the fact that the child was going to be born with a gastrointestinal deformity called gastroschisis, according to the biological mother of the child.

“Rosie told me she could not handle having a special needs child,” the birth mother, Jami Weaver, told The National Enquirer, adding, “Rosie and [her estranged wife] Michelle [Rounds] weren’t the warm people I thought they were… I just felt like I was a dog breeding puppies for Rosie.”

O’Donnell and Rounds are fighting for custody of their first adopted child together after their lesbian marriage broke up.

While some may detect this story’s implications for the same-sex adoption issue, other alarming questions are raised.
