A raccoon and alligator made an adorable pair in Oaklawaha River in Ocala, Fla. Sunday.
Richard Jones and his family were exploring the Ocala National Forest Sunday morning when Jones’ son startled the raccoon, leading it to seek refuge on the back of a grazing alligator.
Although the raccoon quickly scurried back onto dry land, and the alligator ducked back underwater, Jones still managed to snap the photo just in time.
“Pretty amazing,” Jones told WFTV News, which originally reported the story. “Definitely the photo of a lifetime.”
