Goldman Sachs executives have enacted new regulations saying that interns may work a maximum of 17 hours per day, according to The Guardian.

The summer intern class learned about the new rule regarding work hours. These regulations come in the wake of many interns attempting to prove their worth to the company by forgoing sleep, for days at a time.

In 2013 one sleep-deprived intern, Moritz Erhardt passed away due to an epileptic seizure following 72 straight hours of work.
