Washington bar Madam’s Organ was just fined $500 because a drummer there cracked opened a window after he let one rip between sets.

The District of Columbia Alcohol Beverage Control Board sanctioned the popular Adams Morgan locale for violating an agreement to keep all doors and windows closed from 12:30AM until closing when live bands perform.

An eagle-eyed inspector from Alcohol Beverage Regulation Administration noticed the widow open in the wee hours of June 22, 2014. The DC Alcohol Beverage Control Board was not persuaded by testimony this April from Madam’s Organ manager Adam Wilcox that the drummer performing on the ill-fated night “needed air and cracked open a window.”

When owner Bill Duggan caught wind of the fine he was livid. “Twenty f—–g years with no violation and this is what they came up with,” he told Borderstan.com. “People get stabbed and shot in these other establishments. In ours, someone farts and cracks a window and they spend a year on it.”

Duggan may appeal the decision.
