A North Carolina teenager caught plotting a mass killing in the name of ISIS was turned in by his own father.

Justin Nojan Sullivan, 19, was charged Monday with attempting to provide material support to ISIS, a designated foreign terrorist organization.

Sullivan plotted to kill hundreds and discussed using a car bomb, chemical bomb, coating bullets in cyanide and robbing banks, according to the criminal complaint.

It was his father’s tip that started the whole investigation. The father called 911 in April after he saw that his son was destroying Buddha figurines and had poured gasoline on their religious items, NBC News reports. He told the operator, “We are scared to leave the house.”

After receiving the tip, an undercover FBI agent reached out to Sullivan June 6. Sullivan allegedly described himself as “a mujahid,” and offered to help the FBI agent join the “Islamic State in North America” and even asked the agent to murder his father and stepmother.

Sullivan allegedly told the agent “the war is here,” and divulged that he would do a “minor assassination” as a training exercise to prepare for the major attack.

At one point, Sullivan allegedly told the FBI agent, “I liked IS from the beginning, then I started thinking about death and stuff so I became a Muslim.”

Authorities arrested Sullivan Friday, the day before they say he planned to buy the weapon at a gun show. The Feds found a silencer that Sullivan had obtained for the attack in the home where he lived with his parents.

“Justin Sullivan intended to commit violent acts against innocent people in the U.S. to support the terrorist organization, ISIL,” Special Agent in Charge John A. Strong said in a statement. “As demonstrated in this case federal, state, and local law enforcement will work tirelessly to protect our communities from those who plot to carry out terrorist activities of any kind.”
