The illegal immigrant transgender activist President Barack Obama kicked out of the White House Wednesday has told The Daily Caller News Foundation her protest was a spur-of-the-moment outcry against the president’s callousness towards LGBTQ immigrants.

WATCH:

Jennicet Gutiérrez is clearly not easily pleased. Born a man, she identifies a woman. Born in Mexico, she is an illegal immigrant to the United States. A left-wing activist by choice, she is so unsatisfied with Obama she decided to heckle him at an event celebrating the tremendous gains made by LGBT activists in the six years of his presidency.

Gutiérrez is furious with Obama because of the approach he has taken to reducing deportations of illegal immigrants. Specifically, her group, Familia TQLM, is unhappy that Obama’s executive order on deportations only protects immigrants who arrived in the country as children or who are parents to U.S. citizens. These restrictions, the group argues, are “structured [to] disproportionately exclude LGBTQ people,” presumably because they are substantially less likely to have biological children.

These excluded LGBT people wind up in detention centers where they are subjected to horrifying torments, Gutiérrez told TheDCNF in a phone interview Wednesday.

“I had the honor to meet Nicole Hernandez, an undocumented woman from Guatemala, who turned herself in at the border and was detained in an Arizona detention center for 7 months.” Before being released, Gutiérrez says, Hernandez was sexually assaulted, repeatedly “misgendered,” and subjected to other “tortures.”

“These are the daily realities for LGBTQ in detention centers,” said Gutiérrez, and it’s all Obama’s fault.

Gutiérrez claimed her stunt was an unplanned emotional outburst against a president she feels simply doesn’t care.

“What inspired me is that, as the president started to get into the speech and celebration… just knowing that I have spoken to transgender sisters who have been released from detention centers,” Gutiérrez said. “The physical and sexual abuse they’re facing on a daily basis made me stand up and send a message to the president.”

Gutiérrez expressed outrage that Obama could laud the advances in gay rights made during his presidency while brushing the experience of immigrants like herself under the rug.

“Today, he clearly shut me down and tried not to bring those realities [for LGBTQ immigrants] up for him and the rest of the attendees here. It’s very difficult to say I’m a supporter of the president,” she said.

Gutiérrez said that she is a so-called “DREAMer,” who came to the United States illegally as a child. Despite her undocumented status, she said she was still allowed into the White House for the event as the guest of a friend who invited her.

“I went though security twice, they checked my ID and I got in,” she said. What kind of ID she used is unclear, though she mentioned showing the Secret Service her Mexican passport after she was removed from the event.

Obviously, having been told to pipe down by Obama before being kicked out of his house hasn’t done much for Gutierrez’s opinion of the president, and she released a statement bashing the president very quickly afterwards.

“As I reflect on what just happened at the White House, I am outraged at the lack of leadership that Obama demonstrated,” Gutierrez said in the statement released via the activist group GetEQUAL.

Despite her outrage, Gutiérrez said she is hopeful her stunt will make Obama realize the critical need to release all illegal immigrants currently held for deportation.

“Not one more deportation!” she said when asked to describe her key message.
