In search of a much-needed win, The Daily Ballers came out firing against “Democracy International” in our latest “DC Think Tank And Media Softball League” matchup on Wednesday night.

Despite a poorly played top of the 1st — I made an error that may or may not have led to three un-earned runs — the Ballers’ offense exploded for 26 runs — not to mention 40+ beers — in what many are calling the most one-sided ass-kicking since Harry Reid got beat up by his own Bowflex. Unfortunately, due to a lapse in communication — *cough* *cough* INTERNS *cough* — there aren’t a whole lot of photos from Wednesday’s game, but let’s run through a few of the highlights.

Bryce Casey Harper continued to impress after coming back from injury. We just need him to work on wearing the right jersey, next time:

— Al “Dream” Weaver went 5-5 and was a home run shy of the cycle

— Captain Jake hit two — countem… TWO — bombs, re-tying yours truly for the season lead (3).

— Grae took a nap:
