Pro-life protestors swarmed the red carpet at the “Magic Mike: XXL” premiere Thursday night with signs telling Sofia Vergara to unfreeze her embryos.
Vergara was with her fiancé Joe Manganiello when a group of protestors held signs telling the “Modern Family” actress to give her unborn children a chance for survival.
“Lives created should be lives protected,” one sign read.
“Sofia: Unfreeze your daughters. Unfreeze your heart.”
Vergara and her ex-fiancé Nick Loeb have been in a bitter battle over two frozen embryos the couple made using in vitro fertilization. Loeb sued Vergara in May — one year after the two split — over the frozen embryos.
Loeb also penned an op-ed in the New York Times arguing for “full parenting responsibilities” of the embryos. (RELATED: Sofia Vergara’s Ex-Fiance: Keeping Embryos Frozen Is Just Like ‘Killing Them’)
That same month the 42-year-old actress opened up to Howard Stern about the situation.
“More than a mother, [a child] needs a loving relationship of parents that you know, get along, that don’t hate each other,” she said.
“I don’t hate him but obviously he has a problem with me. I wouldn’t imagine anyone saying to bring to the world kids that already have everything set up wrong for them. It’d be so selfish.” (RELATED: Sofia Vergara Wants People To Stop Staring At Her Front, Start Noticing Her Bottom)
