Democrats Shame The Daily Caller For Lack Of Donations

The finance director of the Democratic National Committee has sent emails shaming staffers at The Daily Caller for failing to provide campaign contributions.

The cash-shaming emails are signed by Jordan Kaplan, finance director of the DNC.

“It’s the first deadline of the 2016 election, so it’s super critical that Democrats like you step up and pitch in,” the Connecticut College graduate and longtime Obama moneyman told employees at TheDC.

Despite the personal — and scarily intrusive — nature of the email, it turns out Kaplan and the DNC sent the exact same email to others. For example:

Kaplan goes on to explain he needs exactly “73 people from Washington to chip in $3 before the deadline.”

Why 73 people? It’s not clear. It’s the 21st prime number — which must have some eerie numerological significance, because the product of 7 and 3 is 21. And former New York Jets defensive lineman Joe Klecko wore 73 as his jersey number.

In any case, if 73 people in Washington do, in fact, contribute $3 in response to Kaplan’s email, the Democratic Party will generate $219 in revenue — enough to buy this Mr. Coffee ‘Pause ‘N Serve’ coffeemaker.

Last month, Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton promised to pack the courts with judges who would rule in favor of overturning the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in the Citizens United case, which prohibits the government from restricting independent political expenditures by nonprofit corporations. “I will do everything I can to appoint Supreme Court justices who protect the right to vote and do not protect the right of billionaires to buy elections,” the multimillionaire said.
