CNN contributor Paul Begala has caught a ton of grief this week for being a Hillary Clinton insider and for getting talking points that most rational people assumed he was getting before he went on TV to partake in punditry.
He’s a Clinton insider and has never disguised himself as anything else — why wouldn’t he go to her and her aides for advice?
That he had to ask Hillary Clinton and her people about her accomplishments as secretary of state is well, horrible. But that’s another matter.
Despite all the crap he’s getting for being a Hillary Clinton aficionado, Begala, who is Catholic, still finds time to thank God. In this case, for Donald Trump getting into the presidential race.
“I am a person of faith — and the Donald’s entry into this race can only be attributed to the fact that the good Lord is a Democrat with a sense of humor,” Paul Begala, a former advisor to President Bill Clinton and now an advisor to Priorities USA Action, a super PAC fueling Hillary Clinton’s candidacy, told WaPo.
