Marilyn Mosby, the controversial Baltimore city state’s attorney prosecuting the Freddie Gray case, appeared Thursday at the opening of a show for an activist-turned-photographer whose snapshot of April’s riots in Baltimore graced the cover of Time magazine.

Mosby and her husband, Baltimore city councilman Nick Mosby, showed up to Devin Allen’s premier, which was held at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum.

Allen, an amateur photographer from Charm City, posted several pictures on his social media accounts of Mosby at the event. One is a picture of the 35-year-old prosecutor standing with crossed arms in front of the photo that Time published on its cover. It shows dozens of police officers running towards the camera seemingly chasing one young black man with a bandana over his face.

Allen posted another picture of himself, the Mosbys and Baltimore photographer Robert Hughes posing together. Allen captioned the picture: “Black power all through this pic.”

While many of Allen’s photos depicted the Baltimore riots — which left more than 200 businesses looted and burned — through the eyes of protesters, rioters, citizens, and police, he has been described as an activist and protester.

“Allen will describe his experiences as a protester on the ground following the death of Freddie Gray. He is joined by his peers, including activists Kwame Rose and Malacka Reed,” reads an event listing for the Reginald F. Lewis Museum.

Mosby’s appearance at the show is likely to stoke yet more criticism that she is biased against the six officers charged in the Gray case. The cops have been charged with a variety of offenses for Gray’s arrest and his subsequent death. The officers’ attorneys, among others, have accused Mosby of making extrajudicial statements in public which could taint a potential jury pool.

She has also been accused of numerous conflicts of interest. Billy Murphy, Jr., the Gray family attorney, donated to Mosby’s 2014 state’s attorney campaign and was appointed to her campaign steering committee.

Mosby was also criticized in May after she appeared on stage during a Prince concert in which the legendary musician sang a song about Gray. (RELATED: Marilyn Mosby Appeared On Stage With Prince During Ode To Freddie Gray)

Mosby’s accusations against the officers have been vague. She initially announced second-degree depraved-heart murder charges against the cop who drove Gray’s police van after his arrest. Three others have been slapped with manslaughter charges. Mosby’s case seems to be based on the cops’ failure to properly restrain Gray in the police van and to provide him proper medical treatment.

While the case has taken on racial connotations — Gray was black — three of the six officers, including the driver of the van, are black too.
