Carl Hiaasen: Only Way Trump Wins Is If Dems Nominate Bill Cosby

Author and Miami Herald columnist Carl Hiaasen wants the world to calm down about presidential hopeful Donald Trump.

“The man has absolutely no chance of winning. Zero. Nada. Write it down. Take it to the bank. Bet the farm,” he wrote in a weekend column.

If his feelings about Trump sound too vague, he also called him a “preening self-parody of an egomaniac” who has more baggage than the Kardashians. Other descriptors: “loud, self-bloated and obnoxious.”

Hiaasen said Trump has one chance at winning — and that’s if the Dems put up Bill Cosby, the actor who admitted to drugging women in hopes of bagging them, as their candidate.

He also has more serious allegations against the hopeful — namely that a Fort Lauderdale hotel project involving Trump tanked after investors learned that the actual developer was a convicted felon with mob ties. Hiaasen writes, “If you sell your name to a mob-connected felon who is peddling condos, it’s not enough to claim you ‘didn’t know him very well.’

All in all, he should prepare to hear the standard lines from the real estate mogul.

You know, something along the lines of this: he’s a loser, dumb, a moron. His bestselling books don’t sell.
