After four years of marriage, country singers Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are getting a divorce.
“This is not the future we envisioned,” Shelton and Lambert said in a joint statement issued Monday. “And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately.”
“We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”
Shelton reportedly filed papers months ago, TMZ reports, and because the two signed a prenup, their financial arrangement is already settled.
Shelton will take the family’s ranch in Oklahoma while Lambert will move into their Nashville home, sources told TMZ.

Back in March, Shelton joined Lambert onstage at a concert in Oklahoma to sing “God Gave Me You,” a song he wrote for her.
“I don’t usually do two acoustic songs in the middle of my set, but I think I should tonight — because I brought my husband with me,” Lambert told the crowd.
