Lena Dunham is defending Planned Parenthood after undercover footage surfaced that purportedly shows a senior director discussing illegally selling tissue from aborted fetuses.
Dunham tweeted out that readers should “educate” themselves “on the reality of the attacks against Planned Parenthood.” She linked to a story that appeared in the New York Times titled “The Campaign of Deception Against Planned Parenthood.”

She then encouraged her 2.3 million followers to stand with Planned Parenthood.

In a hidden-camera video released by the Center for Medical Progress as part of a three-year investigation, Dr. Deborah Nucatola discusses selling fetal parts for research purposes with actors posing as buyers.

“I’d say a lot of people want liver,” Nucatola tells actors posing as buyers. “And for that reason, most providers will do this case under ultrasound guidance, so they’ll know where they’re putting their forceps.”
